Hand-Painted Barro Shot Cups, Set of 12 with Tray | Green
Twelve little cups sit side by side in a square tray, all dressed in forest green and covered in tiny white dots. Up close, the dots form small starburst flowers that repeat across every cup and wrap the tray itself. This is capulineado, the patient dotting technique from Mexico named for the small, dark capulín cherry. Every dot was placed one by one, by hand, by skilled artisans in Mexico.
Made from barro (traditional Mexican clay), each caballito has a slightly tapered shape and a warm terracotta interior that peeks out from the green rim. The deep, low-sided tray keeps all twelve together, so the set goes from shelf to table in one move. The matte, hand-painted finish lets the natural character of the clay show through, and small variations from cup to cup are the mark of true handwork.
Present it at your next gathering as a conversation piece, whether for a tequila or mezcal tasting, a dinner party, or a holiday table. It also works as a display on a bar cart, a sideboard, or a kitchen shelf, and makes a memorable gift for housewarmings, weddings, birthdays, and anyone who loves Mexican craftsmanship.
