Hand-Painted Barro Planter | White with Gray Dots
Crisp white, patterned with tiny gray dots and the occasional orange accent, looks almost like a field of miniature flowers. The dots form a tight, repeating lattice across the whole body, creating a calm, tailored surface that still rewards a closer look. This is capulineado, the patient dotting technique from Mexico named for the small, dark capulín cherry. Every dot was placed one at a time, by hand, by skilled artisans in Mexico.
Made from barro (traditional Mexican clay), this maceta has a full, rounded body that curves gently inward toward a wide opening, with a drainage hole in the base. The hand-painted outside contrasts with the deep red-brown interior, which adds warmth when you look inside. Because every dot is painted freehand, no two planters are exactly alike.
It’s a lovely home for a succulent, cactus, or herb on a windowsill, console, or shelf. The soft neutral palette lets the green of your plant stand out and suits modern, minimalist, coastal, farmhouse, and Mexican-inspired spaces. It makes a thoughtful gift for housewarmings, weddings, birthdays, and anyone who loves plants and handmade pieces.
