Hand-Painted Barro Mug | Olive Green
Soft olive green, dusted with hundreds of tiny white and black dots, gives this jarrito a calm, earthy look. The dots drift across the round body in a fine, scattered pattern, like seeds scattered over a green field. This is capulineado, the patient dotting technique from Mexico named for the small, dark capulín cherry. Every dot was placed one at a time, by hand, by skilled artisans in Mexico.
Made from barro (traditional Mexican clay), the jarrito has a compact, rounded body, a gently flared rim, and a curved handle in the same olive tone. The matte, hand-painted finish keeps the natural feel of the clay, and the warm terracotta interior shows at the opening. Each dot is painted by hand, so no two jarritos are alike.
Display it on a kitchen shelf, a coffee bar, or a windowsill, or use it to hold small flowers, herbs, or desk supplies. The muted green pairs well with rustic, farmhouse, boho, and Mexican-inspired spaces. It also looks lovely next to other jarritos in a collection. It’s a thoughtful gift for housewarmings, birthdays, and anyone who loves handmade pieces.
