Hand-Painted Barro Serving Pan | Sage Green
Soft sage green is covered in thousands of tiny white flower-like dots, so fine that the surface looks like delicate lace. The pattern spreads evenly across the inside, the outer wall, and the full length of the looped handle. Where the dots are densest at the center, the green seems to shimmer. This is capulineado, the patient dotting technique from Mexico named for the small, dark capulín cherry. Every dot was placed one at a time, by hand, by skilled artisans in Mexico.
Made from barro (traditional Mexican clay), this wide, shallow pan has a gently curved wall and a long, looped handle that echoes the shape of a classic skillet. The smooth, matte finish gives it a calm, modern look, and because everything is painted by hand, no two pieces are exactly alike.
Hang it on a kitchen wall as folk art, set it on a stand as a table centerpiece, or use it as a catch-all for keys and small treasures. Its tone-on-tone green palette fits modern, farmhouse, boho, and Mexican-inspired spaces. It makes a memorable gift for housewarmings, weddings, holidays, and anyone who loves cooking or handmade pieces.
