Warm terracotta becomes a canvas for white lacework in this cazuela. Rows of dotted rosettes circle the body, delicate leaf sprays hang below the rim like fringe, and a border of larger dots traces the edge. The same intricate pattern continues across the domed lid, all the way up to the handle. This is capulineado, the patient dotting technique from Mexico named for the small, dark capulín cherry. Every dot and leaf was applied by hand, one at a time, by skilled artisans in Mexico.

Made from barro (traditional Mexican clay), the cazuela has a wide, rounded body, two sculpted side handles, and a fitted lid with a bar handle on top. The natural clay color shows through the pattern, so each white mark has a rich, earthy contrast. Because everything is painted by hand, no two pieces are exactly alike.

Set it on a dining table as a serving piece for beans, rice, or stews, or keep it on a shelf or counter as a statement accent. The monochrome white-and-terracotta palette fits rustic, farmhouse, boho, and Mexican-inspired kitchens. It makes a memorable gift for housewarmings, weddings, holidays, and anyone who loves cooking and handmade pieces.
